The PGDM & PGDM-IB Batch of 2016-18 got an opportunity to go to an industrial visit to Mumbai from 21st February to 25th February 2017.

Mumbai,  the financial, commercial and entertainment capital of India is also the wealthiest city in India, and has the highest GDP of any city in South, West, or Central Asia. It has the highest number of billionaires and millionaires among all cities in India.

The aim of the visit was to provide an industrial exposure to the students and give an insight on the working of the companies.

We landed in Mumbai on 21st February 2017. We started our journey by visiting Siddhi Vinayak temple for the blessings, accompanied by Gateway of India and Marine drive. We were mesmerised by the beauty of Mumbai.

Travelling together in groups taught us the team work, collaboration and helped in building stronger bonds.

On 22nd February 2017, we set on our journey to CEAT Tyres. We got a very warm welcome there.

We were explained the manufacturing process of the whole factory through a presentation followed by a question answer round.

We could relate to our course on operations management while we were taken on a tour of the factory to understand the process deeply.

To freshen up, we were taken to the Juhu beach in the evening. That somehow taught us that balancing the work and leisure is very important in life and both has an equal importance.

On 23rd February 2017, we were taken to National Stock Exchange of India and Commodity Exchange of India.  We received a very enlightening lecture on the working of the capital market and we got a wider perspective on the working of the capital market and the importance of studying it in current scenario.

On 24thFebruary, we went to Imagica where we enjoyed wonderful and adventurous rides.

On 25thFebruary, we ended our visit by a conference where we discussed a case study related to Marketing Practices.

It was a trip worth remembering.
