   Objectives

  • The project will address the tenets of social enterprise ecosystem and university ecosystem to identify and develop common space of intervention in university system.
  • To develop academic and research interventions and suggest systems for areas of action engagement and appreciative engagement with a goal to mainstream the social enterprises in the university education and researches influencing scholars, students and multipliers.
  • To engage in extensive dissemination of research outcomes during and on completion of the research outcome as a champion of the aims of the project.

    Output and out comes

  • Will contribute in government policies and initiatives to suggest university, college and training institutions (both in India and UK) to devote resources and time in social enterprise teaching and training module.
  • Will help university leadership in framing policy and schemes to integrate the aspects of social enterprise teaching, research and incubation.
  • Will help the agencies and associations which are funding and supporting universities on social enterprise teaching and research.

abha rishi
Dr. Abha Rishi

Dr. Abha Rishi an Associate Professor in International Business, has 21 years of experience in the field of international trade- in industry and academics. She is an EEC Honors from STVP, Stanford University. Her other qualifications in the field of International business and management are a PhD, PGDIBO, MFT and MIB. She was a CRISP 2014 (Chevening Rolls Royce Science and Innovation Leadership Programme) scholar at Said Business School, University of Oxford. She is also a Fulbright Research Fellow from India at Rutgers University, Newark, USA for 2009-10. She was the Programme Director from BIMTECH for UP and Orissa for the BIMTECH ISB Goldman Sachs 10000 Women global project. Presently she is also the Chairperson for the Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development (CIED) at BIMTECH.

rahul singh
Dr. Rahul Singh

Dr Rahul Singh is Associate Professor in Strategic Management at Birla Institute of Management Technology. His teaching and research is in domain of Strategy, Emerging Market, Sustainability, and Financial Inclusion. Rahul is visiting professor to FH Joanneum University Austria and KEDGE Business School, France. Dr Singh has visited more than 20 universities globally and offered seminars on various research topics. Published in national and international journals including Journal of Business Research, Journal of Brand Management, International Journal of Emerging Market, Journal of Global Scholars of Marketing Science, Journal of Applied Economic Research, and International Journal of Cross Cultural Competence and Management; also receiver of several best research paper awards, he has been regular contributor in media and also published 2 books. Dr Singh has received research grants from many organisations including Bank for International Settlement, European Union and USAID. 

Ashish dwivedi
                            Dr. Ashish Dwivedi

Dr. Ashish is a Lecturer in Information Sciences at the Business School, University of Hull. He is also the Deputy Director of the Centre for Systems Studies, and has served as the Deputy Graduate Research Director. At Hull, He was also associated with the management of the high tech Learning and Innovation Laboratory.

His research is contributing to the existing body of knowledge on the current understanding of the linkages between the cross-disciplinary research themes of Knowledge Management (KM), Supply Chain Management (SCM), and Healthcare Management using systems thinking methods. Since joining Hull, he has engaged in collaborative research with colleagues from the US, Canada and the UK. This has resulted in joint publications, and conferment of visiting fellowships. His research is held in esteem within Hull University Business School (HUBS).  The findings of his research have been published in the form of 50 publications (6 edited books, 14 journal articles, 11 book chapters and 23 conference papers).

yasmin Merali
                       Prof.Yasmin Merali

Yasmin Merali is Professor of Systems Thinking at the Hull University Business School and Director of the Centre for Systems Studies.  She was Co-director of the Doctoral Training Centre for Complexity Science at the University of Warwick and Associate Professor at Warwick Business School until 2013, serving as Director of the School’s Information Systems Research Unit until 2006. Her trans-disciplinary research agenda transcends traditional boundaries between the natural and human sciences by drawing on complex systems science to study socio-economic systems at all scales. She is an Expert Evaluator for the EU and was elected to the Executive Committee of the Council of the European Complex Systems Society in 2012.  She is an active participant in a number of international research networks and was recently elected to the Executive of the UNESCO UniTwin for Complex Systems Science.  She has extensive consultancy experience in public, private, and third sector organizations, and received a BT Fellowship and an IBM Faculty Award for her work on knowledge management and complexity.

Gerald Midley
                       Prof. Gerald Midgely

Gerald Midgley is Professor of Systems Thinking and Associate Dean for Research and Enterprise in the Business School at the University of Hull, UK. He also holds Adjunct Professorships at the University of Queensland, Australia; the University of Canterbury, New Zealand; Mälardalen University, Sweden; and Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. He was Director of the Centre for Systems Studies at Hull from 1997 to 2003 and from 2010 to 2014. From 2003 to 2010, he was a Senior Science Leader in the Social Systems Group at the Institute of Environmental Science and Research (ESR), New Zealand. Gerald has had over 300 papers on systems thinking, action research and stakeholder engagement published in international journals, edited books and practitioner magazines, published 11 books, and has been involved in a wide variety of public sector, community development, technology foresight and resource management projects. He was the 2013/14 President of the International Society for the Systems Sciences.
