SALUTATIONS TO MOTHER TERESA
On the auspicious occasion of the sacred canonisation of Mother Teresa in Rome by Pope Francis today, 19 years after her passing away, we at BIMTECH pay our reverential tribute to our Mother Teresa, Bharat Ratna.
Mother had chosen India as her karma bhumi. Since the year 1948 her humble abode was in Kolkata where she served humanity by attending to the needs of the abjectly poor and downtrodden among the society. The nation remembers with gratitude her yeoman services to the poor who were left to die on the streets, the lepers who were shunned and the oppressed.
Anyone who have seen a picture of her in the news paper or a television image of her serving the poor and her Missionaries of Charity with their trade mark blue border white sarees, will cherish her memory for long.
She bid good bye to this world on September 5, 1997, appropriately enough on the Teachers Day, which perhaps by divine coincidence proved that she really was one of the great Gurus of India.
All of us at BIMTECH, students, faculty and staff feel privileged to pay our humble tribute to this angel of occasion. Mother has been an inspiring visionary for us in implementing our motto: “Excellence with Values”.
It is said that love is gratitude with a memory. To Mother Teresa we say, thanks for the memory!
