Panel discussion was organized by Centre of International Business at the campus
On 18th of August 2017, a panel discussion was organized by Centre of International Business at the campus. The theme of the discussion was “India’s International Trade – Road Map for Future”.
The esteemed panelists who gave their views and expectations about the future of International Trade aspects of India were the following:
1. Mr Rahul Gupta, CEO, Towel International Marketing, Trident Group
2. Mr Pranav Kumar, Head – International Trade, CII
3. Mr. Vinod Agarwal, Director, Paswara Paper Mill
The objective of holding the Panel Discussion was to analyze India’s International Trade in last one decade, current challenges and strategies for success
Mr Pranav Kumar took the students through the historical developments of multilateral and bilateral agreements and how India has been participant in them. He also talked about India’s various trade policies over the past decade
Mr Rahul Gupta talked about how the exporters’ industry has been perceiving various international trade developments happening in India nad around the world. He talked about some major elements that could drive India’s exports growth like scale of operations, innovation, quality and branding.
Mr Vonod Aggarwal talked about the imports market in India and how GST would be having a short term and long term impact on imported goods in India.
The entire session was knowledge enriching for the students and in the end the students enthusiastically asked their questions to the panelists about the future of international trade in India.
