POLICY ON FINAL PLACEMENT & SUMMER INTERNSHIPS

  • The Centre for Corporate Relations (CCR) aims to facilitate students to get themselves placed as per their inclination in the best available corporates or organizations. The same principle applies to Summer Internships as well.
  • The Centre which has a chairperson, two managers, one asst manager and two data entry operators, drives its functions from the Mission 1 of BIMTECH: “To be the preferred choice of Faculties, Students and Recruiters”.
  • The overall vision of BIMTECH “To be known for developing ethical global leaders and entrepreneurs striving for sustainability and inclusive growth” inspires and motivates CCR.

OPERATIONAL PHILOSOPHY

  • BIMTECH encourages and assists all students to emerge as credible brands in their own right who are sought after by the corporates.
  • BIMTECH follows the policy of single offer per student. That is a student once selected,  is out of the placement process.
  • BIMTECH provides logistic and other required assistance for recruiters to conduct the placement process in the campus. We are open to pool campus arrangements.
  • BIMTECH welcomes pre-placement talks by Corporates, although it is not obligatory.

DURATION AND OBJECTIVES OF SUMMER INTERNSHIP

  • The duration of the summer training project for all streams (PGDM, IB, IBM and RM) will be for three months, normally between 02nd April to 30th June of every year.
  • The aim is to enable students to transfer their analytical, integrative, team play etc. skills honed in classroom to the work place as well as to understand the complexities of the corporate world first hand.
  • To aim at the acquisition of pre-placement offers wherever feasible and appropriate.
  • To provide opportunities for networking with people who matter in industry/corporates /organization.
  • To train students to focus on a narrow bandwidth of a selected topic / field, (micro and not macro themes) to facilitate its in-depth study using quantitative/qualitative measurement tools to organize and analyze data, intensely focusing on the area to arrive at reasoned conclusions/about the issue or problem.
