The kick-off meeting of Project AIDEdu Project CoFunded by EU
The kick-off meeting of Project AIDEdu Project CoFunded by EU (Accessible, Inclusive and Digitized Education) + capacity building program, of the European Union, scheduled from February 19th to 22nd, 2024 was successfully hosted by Global College International and Kathmandu University (KU) in Nepal.
#BIMTECH is one of the key participant and beneficiaries of this multi country project having nine other partners from Spain, Austria, Latvia, Nepal and India, coordinated by VESIM – Vivekanand Institute of Management Studies and Research Mumbai.
Dr. Himanshi Tiwari, Associate Professor, BIMTECH represented the Institute and presented a comprehensive needs analysis of the project for the Institute.
Each partner institution in the AIDEdu Consortium outlined its role and contribution to the project. The collaborative efforts to enhance the quality of tertiary education through a holistic approach of capacity building of staff of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) on selected Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) were outlined. The project specifically targets the accomplishment of relevant, accessible, inclusive, and digitized quality management education in HEIs in India and Nepal.
The participants Dr. Shalini Bariar, Satish Kumar Sheshnarayan Modh, Rupert Beinhauer, Waltraud Ulli Jelinek-Krickl, Anubhav Mishra, Dr. Om Jee Gupta, Subash Shrestha, Divya Nalla, Mario Guillo etc. shared insights into best practices related to global approaches in teaching and learning. The overarching goal is to elevate the recognition and competitiveness of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) on an international scale, with a special focus on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 4, 10, and 17.
Among the esteemed partner institutions involved in the AIDEdu Project are Vivekanand Education Society’s Institute of Management Studies and Research, Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH), FH Joanneum, Universitat d’Alacant, Rīgas Tehniskā universitāte (Riga Technical University), Jaipuria Institute of Management, Nalla Malla Reddy Engineering College, Kathmandu University (KU), and Global College International.
The AIDEdu Project envisions the establishment of Centers of Excellence for teaching and learning, fostering collaboration to ensure that partner HEIs are better equipped to meet international standards. This initiative reflects a commitment to advancing education, promoting sustainable development, and creating a global impact through collaborative efforts.
