Umar Farooq is working as an Assistant Professor of Economics and International Business at the Birla Institute of Management Technology, Greater Noida, India. He has previously worked as a Teaching and Research Assistant at the Management Development Institute Gurgaon, one of India’s AACSB-accredited business schools. As an ardent researcher, he has published his work in globally acknowledged and reputable journals such as Elsevier, Springer, and Taylor & Francis (Routledge). His research interests encompass environmental economics and policy. He is passionate about teaching and learning economics and econometric models. Dr. Farooq has also passed the UGC-NET and JK-SET level examinations and received a gold medal as the top student in the MA Economics program at the University of Kashmir.
