BIMTECH Being The Indian Academic Partner, Hosted The Kick-off Meeting of An Indo-UK Research Project
On 13th August, BIMTECH being the Indian Academic Partner, hosted the Kick-Off Meeting of an Indo-UK research project, #TRANSSITioN, funded by STFC – GCRF, UK. The UK partners are The University of Sheffield, RAL Space, STFC, IBM Research, Astec, and Cryox. India academic partners are National Institute of Technology Goa, IIT Madras, BIMTECH and Jadavpur University. The Industry partners in India are CSA Hyderabad, Go4fresh, Linde plc, and FFHP. Dr. Rahul Singh and Dr. Subhanjan Sengupta will investigate the work package of BIMTECH, in collaboration with the other academic and industry partners.TRANSSITioN will conduct an innovative multi-disciplinary and multi-institution research to identify relevant technology solutions and business models that can converge to work together for supporting interventions towards development outcomes for minimizing food loss/waste in the food supply chain from farm to fork. This is significant in developing countries such as India, where inadequate cold supply chain infrastructure results in a large amount of wastage in fresh produce and inadequate value creation.Sustainable Integrated Food Value Chain Network – SAVAN
