Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Insurance Business Management)

Every year, on 2nd July 2023, an Orientation program was conducted to acquaint freshly inducted students with the nuances of the Insurance Business Management program of BIMTECH.

Mr. Pavanjit Singh Dhingra, Director- of Prudent Insurance Brokers Pvt Ltd., Mr. Rajesh Chetan- Founder of Rajesh Chetan Insurance Brokers (P) Ltd. and Mr Raghav Jain – an Insurance Professional were the guests.

Prof. (Dr.) Abhijit K. Chattoraj, Chairperson of IBM, gave a vivid account of the growth of India’s insurance business and insurance industry.

Mr Pavanjit Singh Dhingra, the Chief Guest of the orientation function, enlightened the students with details about how he got into the insurance industry from an altogether different profession. He shared a few excellent learnings with students. He explained the importance of having a purpose in what one does and that the goal should be in line with the work one undertakes; he also elucidated how insurance is one industry with a few disadvantages and no other industry is possibly like this.

Mr Rajesh Chetan, an eminent Insurance advisor and a consultant and also the Guest of Honour of the event shared several anecdotes from his life to drive home the idea that the noble profession of insurance made his life more prosperous and immensely rewarding.

Mr Raghav Jain an alum of the insurance program shared his experience and articulately highlighted the expectations of the industry.
Dr H. Chaturvedi-Director blessed students and cautioned them not to follow a trodden path.

Prof. Manoj Kumar Pandey gave a brief account of Club INMOS, an insurance club. Prof Pratik Priyadarshi extended the vote of thanks and assured the students that they made the right decision to join the insurance program, and Prof Monika Priyadarshi welcomed the guests.

Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH) and Consumer Online Foundation (COF), a registered TRUST established on 24th June 2023 in New Delhi and its registered office CR Park, New Delhi, signed an MoU ON 21ST June 2023 at BIMTECH’S Greater Noida campus.

Professor Bejon Kumar Misra and Prof. (Dr.) Harivansh Chaturvedi, Director –BIMTECH, signed the MoU in the presence of Prof(Dr) Abhijit K Chattoraj and other senior faculty members of the Insurance Program.
