The day kicked off with a lamp lighting ceremony led by Dr. PRABINA RAJIB, Director of BIMTECH, followed by a thought-provoking welcome address.
Setting the Stage: Why Read Books?
Mr. Shiv Shivakumar, Operating Partner at Advent International, Gurgaon, and former Chairperson & CEO of PepsiCo India and Ex CEO, EM – Nokia, ignited the discussions with his inaugural speech on the often-underrated importance of reading in today’s world. His session set the tone for an intellectually stimulating day.
Fireside Chats and Beyond: Learning from Industry Leaders
The event hosted two insightful Fireside Chats. Mr. R Gopalakrishnan (Gopal), former Executive Director – TATA SONS LIMITED and former Vice Chairman – Hindustan Lever, engaged Mr. Ravi Kant, Ex-Vice-Chairman and Managing Director of Tata Motors, in a captivating conversation about his book, “Leading from the Back,” sharing valuable leadership lessons.
Later, Mr. Harit Nagpal, CEO of Tata Play Ltd, and the author of “Adapt: To Thrive, Not Just Survive,” discussed the book’s themes with Mr. Harish Bhat, Advisor and Director, Tata Group, offering practical insights on navigating modern business challenges.
Panel Discussions: Empowering Women and Exploring Mental Well-being
A thought-provoking panel discussion addressed the theme of “Strong Women, Strong World,” featuring accomplished authors like Ms. Anita Bhogle, Ms. Aarti Kelshikar, Ms. Sonu Bhasin, Ms. Lopamudra Maitra Bajpai, where the panel was moderated by Ms. Namrata Rana. They shared their perspectives on empowering women in the corporate world and building a more inclusive future.
Another panel explored the crucial topic of “Mental Well-Being,” featuring authors and experts like Mr. Shantanu Gupta, Ms. Abha Sharma, Mr. Jairam Menon, sparking insightful conversations about mental health awareness and practices, where the session was moderated by Dr Subrat Kumar, CEO, People Labs Pvt Ltd.
Masterclass & Book Unveilings: Expanding Horizons
A captivating Masterclass on “Global Leadership Through Poetry” was conducted by Mr. Abhay K., a diplomat and poet, offering unique perspectives on leadership through the lens of creative expression.
The day also witnessed the unveiling of three new books, including DR SAROJ DUBEY, ‘s “Rx for Resilience,” Dr. Abhijit K. Chattoraj – Chartered Insurer and Dr. Srinath Sridharan’s “Newsprint to Heartprints,” and Dr. Shivani Khetan, Ph.D. D.Sc.’s “Enhancing Leadership Skills Through Deeper Self Awareness.”
Concluding with Reflections and Future Directions
The festival concluded with a valedictory session, where Dr Archana Shrivastava, presented the Mentor’s Festival Report, Mr. R Gopalakrishnan (Gopal), shared his wisdom and insights on business and leadership in his Valedictory address. Prof. Sanjiva Shankar Dubey, Dean Academics, #BIMTECH, delivered a heartfelt vote of thanks, marking the end of a successful event.
